Default Kubota BX24 vs Massey Ferguson 2610

Hi All,

I've been testing several tractors and looking for a machine for my small business which includes various light construction jobs such as patios, walls, decks, drainage, walkways, etc.

I've run through the gambit of possible machines and was pretty much sold on the Kubota 2620 but really am not ready to upgrade my primary vehicle to a 2500 series pickup and 7000 GVRW trailer at this time.

I investigated two subcompact machines the Kubota BX24 and the Massey Ferguson 2610. After reviewing them both carefully and comparing them to larger machines the Massey seems to have several advantages over the Kubota.

1) more horsepower and larger cc block. 25 hp (1123 cc) vs 23 hp (898 cc)
2) better hydraulics - the Massey has full function of the hydraulics right off idle where you can't even raise the bucket on the Kubota until you rev up the engine speed.
3) Substantially beefer backhoe. The Massey's arm is noticeably larger and has larger pins, stabilizers not to mention a better digging depth 78 vs 73 inches.
4) More substantial frame (2670 lbs vs 2245 lbs.)

Am I missing something or is the Massey a stronger machine in this category?
