Paul,

I agree with the conclusions in the article you posted and think that Jinma owners\importers may be in for a difficult time in the near future.

Jinma's were the most imported Chinese tractor into the U.S and if production ceases or prices inflate to the same level as the Mahindra, then why buy a Jinma. At least the Chinese Mahindra comes with a 2 year parts\labour warranty.
Biggest problems may be getting parts for those already imported but then again there could be a cottage industry set up where parts are produced by other Chinese manufacturers for Jinmas.

Getting to the crunch for Chinese tractor manufacturers as not that many left. Only a couple come to mind off hand and they are Dong Feng and Foton but I am sure there are lesser known others.

Should be interesting times.
