Hey Tom, my experience with ECHO is good, as long as you understand we sacrifice power for weight, knowing this fact...... the important issue is reliability. I love that they pull easy and start with 2 or 3 pulls.
Cut down ten more trees this afternoon 10" to 20", used a 14" ECHO on the smaller stuff and my new 20" STIHL on the meatier work. I like my ECHOs a lot, they're light and easy to handle, but that STIHL has the power to cut some wood..
ahem..
it is somewhat heavy though....it would be tough without the ECHOs to do the majority of the limb and small tree cutting.
Every tool I've bought was purchased to make my life easier, those brands have been winners. Not every acquisition becomes an asset.
