Yeah...here we have two Huge players in the Ag game...and if Yanmar built the John Deere tractors and engines exactly to Deere's specifications they just have to retain the design license or JD would be screaming foul as soon as the first (EX3200) Cub Cadet was unveiled. But….there are many Yanmar tractors commonly used in Asia and Europe that look like red John Deere’s.
We all know how the “Rumor Mill” perpetuates misinformation but I was told (18 months ago) that the two newest Yanmar models currently sold with specifications that include: The Ke-140 and Ke-160, with the 3TN66 and 3TNE68 3 cylinder engines, wet disc brakes, standard 540 PTO, 4WD and the geared 8 forward 4 reverse transmission, and both models come stock with power steering. The two models were built below (JD’s) suggested MSRP and were originally designed for John Deere. A very affordable, small tractor targeting small land owners and hobby farmers….If it’s true what happened??
Edit...I forgot to mention Will Cub Cadet import this model, paint it yellow and black and make it available for the same market it was originally intended??
