. I tried to jump start her rider with cables. The starter, solenoid, and safety switch seemed to work. The battery is ancient and corroded. I cleaned the poles with no improvement. The first thing we did was to order another battery from an auto parts store as Sears and TSC were out of stock with the correct battery and worthless (as usual). I suspect she bent the driveshaft. We did finally find a recommended small engine/rider repairperson (his name currently escapes me). Jay
