Default Batwings, the only way to fly

Got to use the batwing for the first real job today. 30 acres (more or less)
I drove it over (only about 10 miles away), the wife took the smaller tractor with the 6' on it to do the tight stuff.

    4 hours later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    DONE!!!!
    damn

This thing is cool as hell.

So let me try to understand this Lone.

Are you saying here that you are pleased with the new batwing mower?

The wife was working. We are a team, I make all the money, she spends it. No seriously, she was running the other tractor, doing the clenaup work and eges, etc.
3.9 million dollar house for sale!!!
that had 6' tall weeds. Very bizzare.
Looks like a HUD home, except it's huge and in a hell of a spot. And has a brand new $50,000 1 mile long vinyl fence around it. Very odd.
I figure I'll get to mow it a couple times.

Yeah, it worked really well, i am very pleased. Didn't even use any more fuel than normal (about 1/2 a tank in 4 hours of mowing, that's pretty typical). And a lot more efficient (less fuel, more acres)

funny enough, i was driving the tractor/mower combo down the road (because it was close) and then I drove it to my next big job I have on wednesday and just left it there. While putzing along (at 20mph, max) there was a sheriff behind me at a light and for a while. Nothing. No dogs were killed, no lights, nothing.

And best of all, it's been drizzly all day and it's been pouring since we finished. it's going to look awesome tomorrow.

I'd have been sitting in jail less than 6 minutes after the cop spotted me driving my tractor down a public road here in Taxachusetts. 10 miles??? With The Man following you??? You must be blessed LC... but isn't that a little hard on your tractor's tires?

I"m legal baby, (which, I know, means nothing in the "land of the fee")

I dunno R4's, never noticed any extra wear. I plow snow with this tractor too.
It's too slow. After this business is a HUGE success the next tractor is going to have a transport gear.

Sorry LC - I thought you ran R1 aggies. And yes; fees notwithstanding, at least be thankful that you are legally able to run down the road. I can't in insane old Taxachusetts.

Did I hear you say "after this business is a HUGE success"???

By my standards, your business already is a *SCREAMING* success!!!

So, we have this field we do every year, it's literally 200 yards away and the guy who owns it is an "investor" and the renters never do it. So, the first year he says 'hey, can you mow this for me?"

    Sure,
    year 1 7 acres, 5' bushhog, MF1433 (33hp) 3mph, it was real tall, took 7 hours. 7 gallons

    year 2, 7 acres, 8' bushhog, TN75, 3 hours 6 gallons, same price

year 3 (this year), 7 acres, 15' batwing, TN75, 1 hour, 2 gallons took the TC45 for 30 minutes to do edges and around poles and such. 30 minutes. 1/2 gallon same price (I almost got done before my wife with the TC, but I got a phone call in the middle of the field)

The math works, i just need more work. to fill up all the time.
