Points: 0 | I have a almost 2 acres of fine lawn. This summer I got two Husqvarna Automowers. They are electric robots and they run 24/7. I only had an 18hp mower (48 inch) and it used to take 4h every week. Now I can concentrate on the details etc.
They use about 20kWh per month so they save alot of money over gas, also saving the environment...
They are truly truly great because they work. They save time, money, gasoline and they give a great cutting result!
Of course they cost 2500$ each.

Not sure I'd want to risk having him mowed down by robots. | ___________________________ Cub Cadet Yanmar EX3200, CL300 Loader w/ Rankin toothbar, Land Pride bucket forks, CB75 Backhoe w/ mechanical thumb, Woods LR72 Landscape Rake, Rankin RC20-72 rotary cutter.

I'm quite sure your 21 month old son could learn what to do and not to do. Frankly I'm quite sure your Cub (and car) is a much much bigger risk for him of getting a serious or deadly injury on your lot, like a backing accident.
I think the Automowers are GREAT!

Points: 0 | Being on a budget, I am looking at this craftsman on sale: Craftsman 24 hp 46 in. Deck Deluxe Yard Tractor - Model 28827 at Sears.com
Either that or a 60" or 72" PTO finish deck for the EX3200.
Is that craftsman just junk? | ___________________________ Cub Cadet Yanmar EX3200, CL300 Loader w/ Rankin toothbar, Land Pride bucket forks, CB75 Backhoe w/ mechanical thumb, Woods LR72 Landscape Rake, Rankin RC20-72 rotary cutter.

Oh, yeah...check the thread where Sears gave me a replacement SNOW BLOWER, as well, because they had stop supporting that product with spare parts, it seems that is happening more quickly than it used to with Sears Branded merchandise... ...but then again, who knows what other manufacturers are doing... | Paul in VT
I used to own an ant farm but had to give it up. I couldn't find tractors small enough to fit it.
