Default Harbor freight - Quick attach 3 pt system

I have nothing but great things to say about the Harbor Freight 3 pt
quick hitch attachment. Basically its a Speeco design (see below)
that can be found on sale for under $70 dollars (at times).
We all know how expensive the Green paint alternative is

Enables you to use the SpeeCo Category 1 Quick Hitch with implements not made to ASAE Quick Hitch Standards

I'll second that. Narry a problem with my HF version.

The Guys that paid $250 for the John Deere I-Match System that only works on less than 10% of implements will say if it's not green it is no-good. LOL
Quick hitches like these are not recommended for hay equipment. Many of the disc mower manufacturers expressly say do not use a quick hitch.

Let me be the first to say Welcome Mark to the Underground!!!
Regarding the I-match system, I was almost one of them until at the last second came across the $69 dollar happy meal I’m a green guy but I didn’t care what color it is (have a New Holland Blue tiller), just wanted a labor saver device.

I totally understand about the hay equipment, and can only imagine the twisting and other forces they exert on quick hitch setups -

Glad to have you on board

Been some yrs since I was in the custom haying business but the only thing I recall having that mounted via the 3pt hitch was my side deliver rake and it was not a convientional design.

I agree, the harbor freight unit seems pretty well built. I really like the Land Pride version, but at about $400 for that one, the harbor freight alternative was a no brainer.

Unfortunately, after I got it I found out it won't fit either the Land Pride box blade or Frontier snow blower that I have. Much better to have wasted $75 as opposed to $400 I suppose.

If anyone around Cleveland Ohio wants a like new harbor freight quick attach, its theirs for $50.

Mike dont give up hope yet, take a look at the links in this thread, and specifically the speeco link/adapter link. The harbor freight is basically a Speeco hitch, even harbor freight sold this adapter (hard to find on their site) I think its for implements like yours - it may help you

BTW you still have the Cub 5000 series, or was it replaced by the deere (2520 i think?)

I traded my cub 5000 for the 2520. I can barely justify a 2520, little less two tractors.
By the time I got the JD, however, I was already kind of used to being Mike5252 so decided not to change.

I'll check into the adapters. thanks.

For the prcie you can't beat the HF model, I got one.

What didn't mtach were my various aged Cat 1 attachements. Mostly the top hook on the HF QH just didn't get it, so I removed it and boogered together my own swivelling toplink. it's not the greatest, but I still prefer dealing with the top conenction, and having the two bottom connections be as easy as they are.

$64.99 is what I paid for mine, it was worth it, for sure.

Kubota BX2350 and more attachments than I have sense to operate.
