Seeing as how I'm handicapped with a bum left arm since birth and am unable to even hold a rifle or shotgun... and seeing as how I was never the world's greatest shot with a handgun anyway, I drifted into gunsmithing as a hobby along with the engineering study of firearms: mechanisms, materials, manufacturing and performance... principally of handguns since that's all I could actually hold and fire. I ended up with quite an interesting collection before divorce and hefty A&CS payments changed my entire world. I had many favorites, but like so many other folks, a family heirloom will always be number one: an olympic-grade single shot .22LR S&W won in US national competition by my grandfather almost a century ago.
