Wow, the bad word-fix-feature is pretty sensitive. What I was trying to say, and I'll change the spelling now, is the operator platform felt like a kockpit.

One dealer told me the financing is through GE, not Cub/Yanmar. I was also told about different rates by 2 different dealers. The one told me 0%/24 and the other told me 0%/36. I got the impression I wouldn't find out for sure until I started the application process.

Find out before you fill out the paper work - and know your credit score going in. Its like the car guys where you think your going for the better rate and they try and tell you its the higher rate because of your score - you know when its going to happen when you meet the "finance manager".

I agree. I wasn't too concerned with exactly what the rate was since I wasn't ready to do anything.

I figured if I did decide to go with that machine, they'd be telling me the EXACT finance rate before anything got signed.

Point is, and this could end up impacting sales to some extent, it doesn't seem that Cub/Yanmar is handling the financing. 3rd party financing creates opportunities for some 'funny' stuff to go on, and rates can vary widely across the country. Couldn't even get 2 dealers to agree on what the financing was.

The rates are set by GE Capital Consumer Card, and they are the same for anyone who's credit score is above a certain amount. They don't go down as your score goes up. Also, the 0%/24 and 0%/36 changes back and forth from time to time, and are applicable to only certain models, which again change from time to time. Most of the time the dealer's are not completely up to speed on the latest offerings, and this time of year seems to be when the offerings are changing the most. Best bet is to look on the Cub/Yanmar site to find out what's really current. I believe these are the latest offerings.

Some dealers are not offering the 0% for 36 months because there is a cost to the dealer

0% for 24 months no dealer cost
0% for 36 months Dealer pays small %
4.99 for 72 months no dealer cost

KEVIN----I got your email, and thanks for the info and I checked with my dealer in Concord area and he can set me up with the same one for 16,400 and he is local so I'm going with him in the late summer so I can scatch some cash up. Plus the warranty will be easy being local, but GREAT price on your end, thanks again. SCOTT
