I just cruised the Cub Cadet web site and noticed that the links for the 5K and 6K series tractors are no longer there. They were there a couple weeks back.

You could be right, with the Cub/Yanmar offering covering the entire line.
Not sure if the 2400 will replace all the models in one swoop ? or if there will be 2wd drives models (like the 5000 of old ).... |

The old offerings are gone. Way too many problems with all! I did not sell these so I am not an expert on what the problems were.
The 5000 series was made by Mtd
The 6000 series was made by Kioti (Daedong)
The 7000 series was made by Mitsubishi
From what I have been told they had problems with all 3
Now you have BobCat made by Kioti ( Daedong ) Kioti painted white! Let them have the problems.
I am so happy Cub Cadet Partnered with Yanmar! Got rid of the problems!
You will see alot more models of the New Cub Cadet Yanmar tractors over the next couple of years.
