Points: 0 | So, I am pretty much settled on the EX3200. I am wondering if you can install a Woods backhoe on the EX3200, and whether that would be a reasonable thing to do. The Woods hoes seem to be better based on the specs: Woods Equipment Company - BH70-X (7') and BH80-X (8') | ___________________________ Cub Cadet Yanmar EX3200, CL300 Loader w/ Rankin toothbar, Land Pride bucket forks, CB75 Backhoe w/ mechanical thumb, Woods LR72 Landscape Rake, Rankin RC20-72 rotary cutter.

Points: 0 | I am not a woods dealer so I can't answer that question. Take a look at the Cub Cadet Yanmar Backhoe. It's a nice looking backhoe and it's a easy on and off unit. I have not used one yet so I can't tell you how it would compare to the Woods unit. I only have one out with the Backhoe and I don't think he has used it yet. I have another one sold with a backhoe but he doesn't want delivery till April.
I always recomend using the Backhoe that the Tractor Manufacture recomends

I used to own an ant farm but had to give it up. I couldn't find tractors small enough to fit it.

I see plenty of JD's and New Hollands with the Woods BH. I was thinking that if the Woods worked well on a JD 790 (not sure that it does), then it might also work well on the EX3200.
Also, I was thinking that with this tractor being made by Yanmar under contract, the Cub backhoe being made by another supplier under contract - these arrangements sometimes have more to do with business than superiority of design or function. | ___________________________ Cub Cadet Yanmar EX3200, CL300 Loader w/ Rankin toothbar, Land Pride bucket forks, CB75 Backhoe w/ mechanical thumb, Woods LR72 Landscape Rake, Rankin RC20-72 rotary cutter.

Points: 69 | Woods being the top notch mfg that they are, they would be the only option I would consider going outside the factory offering (just my opinion). I would consult with Wood on what they can offer for the Ex3200 series (being that its so new). The BH80 (not sure if it will fit a ex3200) is a great model and offers more umph than deere or Kubota factory options. Plus thumb options to boot! | That's what I was thinking, but I don't know... I probably will go with the standard Cub backhoe. To be realistic, I am probably buying more tractor than I need already. An upgraded hoe would probably just be overkill.
I am getting closer to making this purchase:
1. The wife is onboard.
2. I've taught my 18-month old son to say Tractor when we look at the brochures. He reads the Kubota B-series brochure like it's Dr. Suess! All the while saying "TACK-TOO! TACK-TOO!".
3. I've been trying to get quotes from dealers within 50 miles.
...2 out of 3 isn't bad to start. | ___________________________ Cub Cadet Yanmar EX3200, CL300 Loader w/ Rankin toothbar, Land Pride bucket forks, CB75 Backhoe w/ mechanical thumb, Woods LR72 Landscape Rake, Rankin RC20-72 rotary cutter.

The only reason I mention it is that MTD is pretty unforgiving to people that don't operate their equipment as MTD sees fit. The Cub/Yanmar venture is a seperate entity to some degree, so what their philosophy is regarding 3rd party equipment isn't clear yet.

Points: 0 | I think the BH80X might be a bit on the large side for the EX3200. I know that guys have put it on the B3030, but it's a massive hoe on that tractor.
The Cub/Yanmar CB75 hoe fits right between the BH70X & BH80X in both size & specs. But I think the CB75 is a perfect fit for the EX3200, and it has a curved boom, a thumb option, and doesn't appear to hang as far off the back of the tractor as the BH80X would. That BH80X really hangs pretty far off the back of the tractor.
I do like the Woods hoes, but if I were to go with the EX3200 (which is still a slight possibility if I can't get a deal worked out on the B3030), I'd get the CB75. | KUBOTA B3030 with R4s, fender mount FEL joystick, 40 amp alternator, block heater, loaded rears, LA403 w/60" bucket, BH75 w/12" bucket, pin-type QA, pallet forks, & Landpride RB2572, Bro-Tek thumb.
