Back to the brochure...

The 2900 & 3200 share almost all of the same specs. The only difference I can see is in the actual gross HP and PTO HP. Even the engine specs such as the bore & stroke, and the total displacement are the same.

Could this be correct? If the engines are both 100.2 cu. in., and the bore & stroke are both 88x90mm, what would account for the lower HP rating of the 2900?

(Also attached the PDF file of the brochure.)

Either EX3200 has a higher compression ratio which equals more horsepower...

Or they are CHIPping their Diesel engine like Diesel trucks...

I don't know why they even offer the EX2900 When it's only about $600.00 Less money. I think the EX3200 is a much better deal.

Yes, and I bet it will be impossible to unload a 2900 on the used market in a few years if you had to sell. Well - not impossible, but it would hurt.

I've been offered a 2900 for $1,200 less than the 3200, which makes it a little more attractive upfront. However I would still agree with you on the resale front.
