Default adding a/c to tractor-anyone ?

Has anyone done it or heard about someone adding either stock or aftermarket a/c to any tractor with softside cab?

This is probably just one a those "it's f***ing hot out" thoughts. Two days in early June with temps in the 90's ..sizzle-sizzle splatter spat.

Maybe an electric add on mounted to the metal canopy, run it off a transformer, or do it right and get a kit, if one is available.

One of the reasons I'm poor would be my desire for comfort.

BTW,, that TLB with the roof and cab, hasn't made it's way up here yet. My shipper's having scheduling issues.. Waiting...waiting..waiting... Of course, I'm the only one who ever had to wait for something.

Oh yeah, I wanted to ask you about your Grapple. A Piranha right? What's it weigh?

I set a hard weight limit of 700 pounds for whatever grapple I was to buy and I believe I came in right at or slightly under that limit for my 66" wide version. I had serious cylinder failures with this grapple last year on my biggest job and ended up beating the grapple arms all to hell pushing huge rocks around and up into piles instead of being able to grasp and lift them. I got replacement cylinders shipped to me under warranty (manufacturer says it had a defective batch - all were thought to have been recalled... except mine) but the grapple will never quite be the same again. The Lesson: Whatever grapple you buy, test the living snot out of it the minute you get it. Failures in later service, revenue producing or otherwise, are not cool at all. Under the circumstances, I cannot enthusiastically recommend the brand... although my particular case may have been atypical.
