Exclamation Tool Time!

Starting a new project, which will require the purchase of new tools. I'm gonna be re-siding my home with fiber-impregnated concrete board simulating a stucco (tudor) finish. Need to purchase a pneumatic nailer for this purpose. I'd like to hear recommendations as for as brand and quality are concerned. I'm gonna need one that can shoot either stainless or hot-dipped galvanized nails.

I used to own an ant farm but had to give it up. I couldn't find tractors small enough to fit it.

Agree with Paul.

Spendy but good.

I have a Paslode, Dewalt and Craftsman but prefer the Palsode.

Is this nailer going to have a life after this project or is this a one job need? If it was me, the anwser to that question would impact how much qlty I'd pay for.

Are hot dipped nails even available to nail gun? Don't see SST as an issue but I could be wrong.

I've wanted/needed one for projects for a while. Kinda realized I oughta put up the new siding with a pneumatic nailer, cause the painters are gonna be inside painting the house for the missus. I don't think she'd have any sense of humor if I popped a couple of nails in her new paint job!
It'll get plenty of use in the future, there's always someone else seems to need my assistance with a project.
No problem getting hot dipped nails, and they're recommended for the cement fiber board.

Paslode makes a great product. I used them quite a few years ago. The only issue I had was the way the nails were fastened together. Paslode coolates their nails with a paper strip. If that paper even thinks about getting wet or damp, you are in for some issues. Other that that their guns are great.

I also had Hitachi guns. I loved them never had any issues.

Paslode does make hot dipped nails.

Not sure which nail gun you would use for your particular application. The only thing I can offer is what ever gun you go with make sure you have some sort of adjustment for flush nailing.

Well I took everyone's advice and picked up a Paslode F-350S framing nailer today. Looks to be a well built product, I'll start putting it through it's paces soon. Lowes told me to direct any warranty inquiries to 'Rara Avis'......go figure!

Congrats on the purchase. Should give you a long useful life and you will be happy with the results.

Good luck on the projects.

That is because Lowes knows I can say no as well as them...
