A good effort but as was said, hardly ecconomical at this point. Wonder what the whole project cost? How many batteries is he carrying and how much real work can the tractor actually do and for how long?
Practice makes perfect: After many decade of hard work and practice, it now takes almost no effort to get tired.

All good questions, one good thing would be the weight of the batteries for ground engaging work, but as you say...what can it really do? At one point he claimed that the panels equaled four or five men, a far cry from 40 or 50 horses.....

Wish there'd been more information and less TV news blather... bet that little tractor works dandy for lighter work such as hay raking, cultivating and finish mowing. Those solar panels cost, but there's no fuel escalation, oil changes etc. There are a few guys around here converting similar small/old Allis Chalmer tractors to electric operation as well. Pretty cool...

    - 1986 Kubota G6200H garden tractor, bought in 2005 to maintain lawns and harvest grass clippings for mulch.
    - 2004 Ariens 1128 PRO walk-behind snow blower.
