You may look cool in this one but don't think it's what you need.
Was talking to my oldest over the weekend and he was telling me he has a couple friends with mini-Cooper's. They don't look bad for being such a small car and are pretty peppy but you don't want to own one when something goes wrong. This one friend had his water pump starting to leak. Took it down to the dealer for repair. The bill, $1200 Damn, that pump must be made out of gold. Not quite, as my son said the water pump is driven off the turbo. This is NOT you momma's runabout.
Me, I'm thinking a thousand less is about right for having a WP replaced.
Gotta find something more suitable Doug.

And that's not even giving thought to the heat transfer from the turbo to the WP. Wonder who's bright idea this was???? To be honest, I've not personally seen the implementation but suspect desire for turbo and available space comes in to play.
Our youngest and wife stopped by last night. Had been looking for a replacement car for the DIL. They found a very good buy from private party. 2001 Miada, very clean and came with both tops. Said they got it for less than they were expecting to pay for several other cars they were considering. Only issue now is, is this really going to be our DIL's car or somehow become our son's commuter car?
Bought from retired school teacher and there was a 2011 Miada sitting next to the 2001 model.
