I doubt it. It was close to closing time yesterday (friday) when we dropped it off. I told 'em "no rush, just have it done in a month or so, call me when it's done". Typically, dealers around here are servicing combines and balers this time of the winter, getting them ready for next season after they've wrapped up this years duty. They had a lot full of jobs ahead of mine. I'd bet on the work taking 2 to 3 weeks before they call.
I am waiting to see this one.

I've been around a few 6030's. You couldn't knock one over with a bulldozer. Big ol' heavy, smokin' beast if there ever was one. During initial testing, Deere couldn't get the tires to quit spinning on the rims when they ballasted it down enough to use all it's power. They had to screw the beads to the rims like drag racers do with slicks. When Deere replaced the 6030 with the 4840 in 1977, it was a step backwards with the exception of the SoundGaurd cab. The 4840 was rated @ 180 hp, but that's ALL it had. And they dropped the 531 cu in diesel in favor of the less torquier 466. You'll find a good many 6030's now with a 619 cu in engine Deere "up gunned" several 4wds with. As the 531's wore down, they were replaced with the bigger engine. Talk about a hoss!
My all time favorite is the JD R Model.

I do like Chip's work, but I watched the youtube (JD) videos, and I do not agree with him wanting to drop the front axle. Someone is going to win it, and it may not be useable to the average Joe farmer, because the nose will be dropped!! I know if I won it, it would earn its keep, or be sold!!
Thanks,
