Neat...what kind of production increase/cost saving can you expect from the use of GPS systems?
You must be farming a sizable area to benefit from the investment, what crops you raise?
Got a Trimble 750 autosteer installed a few weeks back on my 8410 and 8300 jd. Tried them out the first time today. I like them alot easy to use and all I have to do now is learn how to use the other features besides staight A B guidance.

My dad and I work a lil over 3k acres. We raise rice beans and cotton. We have only got to
Use them 2 days so far and I can see they are gonna save fuel and time. We have been putting chicken litter out and covering it with chissel plows. There is no overlap and no pie shapes to work out when laying off lands. When I decided to purchase these units it was because the rice seed saved during planting would pay for them. From 2 days of use I can see the fuel and time saved will add up to much more than the seed.
Wow, good luck with'em. You'll have to share some pics from the field, now that you've got an autopilot!

The first video is the monitor I have but I don't have the ez steer. Mine is hooked direct into hydraulic steering. The steering wheel doesn't move on mine. It's pretty neat tho. Only problem now is gonna be getting bored. I will try to get a pic of the unit and hydraulic control unit. We just got a pretty good rain yesterday so it might be a day or 2.
iPhone with Angry Birds will keep you occupied...

But you might want to keep your eyes open for the first pass around the field...

I thought I had a pic of the control valve but I guess not.
