I moved 250 yards of compost in about 7 hours (spreading around 2 acres) using a MF 1433 (33hp) with a 5' bucket (1/3 yard).
Figure a good solid day's worth of work.

Figure a good solid day's worth of work. | I agree with the LC. I can spread and rough grade a 20-yard truck load of sand or decent quality fill in 45 minutes nonstop... after which, me being old and lazy, I take a 10-minute break and wait for the next 20-yard truck (which I typically schedule in hourly).
This is using my Mahindra 4110 with a 66" CAT super-heavy-duty toothed skidsteer bucket. Depending on material, it would likely go a bit faster with my 72" LD tractor bucket... and even faster yet with my 78" HD bucket (both of which are much lighter than the CAT monster).
Remember that I am old and do not try to set any speed records with the Mahindra... so your own mileage may vary.

Points: 0 | I agree with Doug & Brian...I've done some small jobs with 20yd loads coming in every hour, and had no problem staying in front of the delivery. Both quarry process and mulch. | JD 2520 w/46bh, 200cx loader, meyers 6ft plow

I used to own an ant farm but had to give it up. I couldn't find tractors small enough to fit it.
