Default another day, another made up tax

but you know, it's just on business's, so it doesn't affect anyone.

driving along between jobs, they have one of those "mobile weigh stations" set up.
I stop. (a wee late)
balh blah blah, where' your SMM sticker?

My what?
Your SMM sticker.
You use these tractors for your business right?
Yeah (now mind you, i've gotten stopped in these before pulling trailers, never heard word one about any SMM sticker)

Yeah, it's a slow mobile vehicle sticker, you have to go to the DMV to get it

Why?
Cuz you are using it commercially.

so

Ok, so it's just an annoying tax (at least this cop was honest), but you still have to get it.

WTF? I swear they just make this **** up every time. Every time it's something different that was just fine a few months ago.

Brian,

The SMM sticker is for the trailer? Sounds made up to me.

- 2003 Kubota L4630 compact utility tractor w/ loader & backhoe, bought new.
- Category 1 Implements include a Befco tiller, 6 ft Bush Hog cutter, antique Massey Ferguson 3 bottom plow and a post hole digger
- 1986 Kubota G6200H garden tractor, bought in 2005 to maintain lawns and harvest grass clippings for mulch.
- 2004 Ariens 1128 PRO walk-behind snow blower.

Sounds like it should not apply to your tractors... which I assume are sitting on rubber tires.

Default SMM sticker

...is probably a FUTURE entry point to track property for taxation purposes

I used to own an ant farm but had to give it up. I couldn't find tractors small enough to fit it.

**** THEM
I told you they just made it up
THEY ARE WRONG
I hate this police state, they really do just make this stuff up. And the tax only applies to rental yards.
