Default Why is this link only in one thread ?... Also another question ?

In the thread "Attention all nuts", ..When I go to reply to a post, this is above the "post icons."

    This link.

    Duc, Now another question.

Is there anyway the site could be fixed so we could have more time to "edit a post" ??

    Thanks!!!

I think I will chalk it up as a bug - its a dead link too, oh well

I think the editing is either 30 or 45 minutes, so make your case and dont make a mistake, otherwise its in stone LOL

If the question is you want to extend it? how long?

If its a certain thread in the past - then contact me or the team and we will look into it....

The "other" site used to be 12hrs, but now it seems its indefinite, possibly a oversight but I can now edit post's from month's/years ago now?

I think 12 to 24 hours is good...it is definitely to short now.

I hadn't seen a link like that in the reply box before, and thought someone should know.

I don't believe I even have 30 minutes.. I can leave a reply, and then come back to it, and I can't edit my post... Then it's a stone.

Yeah, I would like to have the time extended... If it isn't a big problem to do.

Indefinite!... I don't know why they need it like that.... Maybe they are giving everyone time to remove their own bad post.

12 to 24 hours would be great!... I do use spell check, and preview my post to read back over it, but I still make mistakes.

A few months ago I posted the wrong picture... When I went back to the thread I realized it, but didn't have time to change it... So I had to remove it from my "control panel."

Thanks "MODS" for listening, and not talking mean.

Just so you know it was set for 1 hour and now it was moved to 2 hours..... Im sure indefinite was a mistake on other site, and 12/24 hr is too long....

experience has shown that this is effective and minimizes mistakes from the start...

    hope this helps

Duc - Some sites with very large and active "classified" sections do that so that the seller (often a dealer) can change asking prices or availability or quantities regularly without a long string of update posts in each thread.

It works better than you might think in such cases... although I see no such need here.

Good point Dougster! The classifieds can be setup differently (and at least here, appear to be that way already with no tweaks).

The problem is more prevalent when a poster edits posts or threads ( a little bit of revisionism?) and the entire thread no longer makes sense -

The window is a self check mechanism for posters to self regulate themselves first so others dont have too....

just my observations/experience, mileage may vary

I prefer the longer edit time! Thanks!
I often go back and re-read and want to make corrections.
