Unhappy Something i want to say publicly

well , a little something i wanted to say in the open. I dont really care who hears it. I was not going to say anything but it festered inside me for a couple of days and its got the best of me. The other night just like i did here. at TBN in the JD operating forum. on Halloween night. i just made a little message wishing everyone a Happy Halloween. same as i did here. 30 min
later it was deleted. no questions asked, it was just gone.
That type of stuff just really upsets me. thay did the same thing when i wished happy 4th of july. You know every single time someone opens there mouth , it dont haft to be about a tractor....

I said my peace..

I noticed...and I've kinda sensed that things have become a little tense on some of the posts. Don't know if they're overcorrecting a perceived problem or perhaps business needs dictate a bit more control, but the tone has changed somewhat in the last couple of months.

Well , the problem is its not the forum. I do love TBN . I learned alot and made alot of good friends. and helped alot of people over there. Heck i think i sold 5 2520's over there. because of my discussions. everyone i know i met there. except for Duc and JDF witch i met at MFT. i was a member ar MFT before TBN. TBN is a great community of people. the forum is not the problem. I think thay done got so big. the mods just got on a power pull. and there head got to big. and if thay dont like any small thing you say. it gets deleted. and most of the time you dont even get told why. . I mean i can understand if someone is perposely causeing a problem. but what happened to regular discussion. I mean like the age old disscussions and debates about 2520 and 2320. we had some heated ones. over there i know. but to me its just it is healthy for new people to be able to read them. and make there own decitions. i think it helps others to make there own choices. but if thay dont like what you say. it just gets deleted. but everyone knows bird is a kubota guy. so if you are have a debate on JD and kubota. JD will always loose cause your views and thoughts get removed. its happened to both me and Duc. i really dont think this type of action is good for the community. it is suppose to be a public forum. what ever happened to freedom of speech...

Chris,
Not to take anyones side because I would rather stay neutral and in good standing at both sites, but I think your mistake both times was posting in the JD specific forum. Post's like "happy Halloween" should be in the "related topics" forum.

Just my thought

Kenny , i understand what your saying. but the only thing is.
i very seldom leave the 2 JD forums over there. when i post a message. i am usualy speaking to JD people. but honistly i really dont see where a happy holiday message warrents being deleted. but really alot of people posts get deleted you dont get to know about it. unless you know the person. you would be surprized what all gets removed. and most of the time its without any explaination. if thay dont like what you say. its gone.
other than that i like the place..

Chris.

Chris, if you only spend time in the 2 JD forums, you are really shorting yourself. There is great stuff in the hydraulic, customization and attachment forums.

I personally like to keep things "on topic", I belong to a woodworking site and also a machinist site, and some days every other post in the main forums start like this:
OT: Why is the sky blue?
OT: Briefs or Boxers?
OT: Ford or Chevy?

And TO ME it gets old fast! Again, just my my opinion-witch are like you know what...everybody has one

Oh, and by the way, the sky is blue because of Rayleigh Scattering in case you where curious

Well , i do look around a bit more than i let on.
I still think no post should be deleted.
you never had a post deleted. i realize you are a little more layed back.
this is a good quality you have. but if someone says something i dont agree with. i let them know. and if thay argue. i dont take crap. witch brings me to my point. if someone says something ugly to you. you should have the right to respond. and it not get deleted. I would not say something unless i wanted people to hear it. I do have a little class about me. i have never cussed anyone or called anyone a name , but i do get my point across...

I think you forgot Dino or synthetic oil - I agreee Kenny I find my time more outside the JD arena along with my posts -

if you want addition threads on certain topic dont be affraid to ask - I only ask of one thing - you only need to post once in the thread, so it breathes life into it <kidding>

I have had about 5 post's deleted, and was even banned for 24 hours not to long ago ( for a picture I posted in the Halloween costume thread, someone thought it was "obscene")...but I enjoy the site so I just deal with it.

I work in a lot of different businesses and government offices, and I have seen my fair share of stupid rules that some want you to follow, so I guess I have a tolerance for it. I figure it's their house so to speak and I am just a guest so I have to follow the rules.

I need to get my plow on!
