I've been to the new one in Leicester, MA... but the Sturbridge one will be mucho closer to my usual back roads commute to/from Springfield.

right up the street from your favorite restaurant stop,, They took over the original Ames store,, The parking lot of 500 cars is down to about 100 now. Unbelievable outdoors display. They have been working on this store all through the winter,,

We were supposed to get a new store closer to me, bur when the economy tanked, it was put on hold.

Oh, I understand where it's located. That's right along one of my backroads routes to/from Springfield. Sometimes I take Rte 20 most of the way (including through Sturbridge)... but sometimes I take a more southern route through Douglas, Webster, Dudley and Southbridge before I hit Sturbridge. On that latter route, I go right by that old shopping center.

That should be a great location for them.

Never one to avoid the opportunity to toss a wet blanket on the fire.....Ya can have yer TSC....

Think about it. If there's a number of ANYTHING, there's a BEST one and a WORST one. We have the absolute worst example of a TSC store in this solar system, just minutes from my door. Quite possibly the BEST example is about an hour from here......JUST enough to be UNHANDY.....

We're getting a few "Rural King" stores in the area. I've been told they'll beat TSC on prices, carry a more expanded product line, and even have some QUALITY stuff on the shelves. They take over existing (empty) big box stores instead of building new. One thing I like is, they PROMOTE bringing your dawgs along when shopping.
