Chris, I don't think I mentioned that I've had a Kubota L3000 tlb as my disposal for years. It was my machine of choice until I got the 2520. I like the botas, but when I look at the JD's , I'm captivated by that wonderful GREEN color...makes me feel good all over.
Another consideration for me is the ability to operate the machine over the road when needed. Where I live, if it is green or red, it is considered farm equipment, and at this size does not require registration/plates or insurance. If one owns yellow, blue, or orange it is considered to be construction equipment and must be licensed and insured.

JD 2520 w/46bh, 200cx loader, meyers 6ft plow
jd 425 w/54"mmm& 54"plow

Chris...
Yeah, but everytime you increase your buildings you reduce your space to play...Just get a permanent weekend rental of a Bobcat Mini-Excavator...

I used to own an ant farm but had to give it up. I couldn't find tractors small enough to fit it.

I agree that John Deere produces quality equipment, when I operate my 3120 there is no questioning the quality. However, Kubota is the leader in customer service and it extends from the dealership all the way to corporate headquarters. My experience with deere is: John Deere corporate does not care what or how their dealerships treat customers. I have seen the president of Kubota at Goss tractor in Jasper Ga and trust me, Kubota cares how their dealerships treat customers. (I wonder if the CEO ever finds the time to visit the deere dealerships on a routine basis to check on things) John Deere has been around a long time and have become to big for their britches. I prefer to buy american but in the case of John deere vs Kubota I'm sorry to say but Kubota has John Deere beat hands down in the customer service dept, And they make a great tractor as well. when I fork out 40k on a piece of equipment I don't want to do business with a bunch of corporate Shills. I feel like I'm walking into a law office or a car dealership when I walk into a deere dealership. However when I leave the Kubota dealership I don't feel like I just got one broke off in me. Perhaps Deere has improved but as a test call deere corporate and see how much they care how their dealership's treat you.

I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with my two dealers - one by me and the other out of state. I also have no doubt I would be just as happy with my local Kubota if I went that route. Bad dealers ruin the name brand -always will.

I surly like John deere. thats really not the point.
i am saying. the money is just to far in left field.
My JD dealer is ok. i would not say exceptional.
but have been fair with me. but just dont get that warm
feeling. goss tractor seems like nice people . and i liked them.
though thay did not have a L39 . if i bought one. it would most likely
be from them. there price was pretty nice.

Lashley tractor out in lithonia is good as well. If you do purchase Kubota
talk to Ron portman and see what kind of price he gives you.
its always nice to shop around.

I am a John Deere guy myself...and hoping to buy my first tractor in the next few months....it is tough when Kubota offers more HP for less money....still hoping to test out Cub Cadet at some point....Just hard to see myself on anything but green....but once I am able to try em all out and compare the numbers I will have to make the tough decision
