Default Market is really tightening up

If there are things you need for target shooting of hunting, make the effort to find'em now. The market is hot and selling out fast. At some shows the dealers are running out of ammo to sell on the first day of a three day show. At Cabela's the other day, they didn't have a single rifle or pistol primer in the place.

Don't have to tell me GM. On Saturday, the GF and I were out and about and happened to stop by that new local dealer I told you about just to say hello (GF hadn't been there yet or met the owners) and to clarify a few things re: "Project AR"... and we couldn't even get in the freakin' door.

On the plus side, the economy is forcing some folks to dispose of certain pristine, barely-used items of interest in order to pay the mortgage. Nothing that I could afford, unfortunately... but the consignment rack has been chuck full of interesting possibilities for if & when I ever win that elusive PowerBall Lottery.

Followed that myself. Late last week the DOD changed course and announced that it would continue to sell the brass to private industry for reloading.
They get $2 per lb from reloaders, but were gonna sell it to China for scrap for $0.35 per lb, glad they rethought the idea.

There will be a lot of sales on Craigslist later this year and the beginning of next year when all of the hoarders need money...
