    Default Santa came early

I bought this R25 in 308 caliber just before the mid term election. I installed the bipod this evening. I am in the process of learning and zeroing the scope. It is a Sightmark 10-40x56 Triple Duty scope with illuminated Mil Dot recticle.

A very nice and powerful cannon indeed... ... but I hope you are getting some of the optional high-capacity magazines for it so you'll be ready for any Zombie attacks! Those 4-round magazines may be fine for hunting, but are a little on the light side for serious home defense.

Naturally, the high-capacity (19 round) magazines are Banned in Taxachusetts... but so is practically everything else (or so it seems).

That is a very nice gun!!! ... Congratulations!!!

Have you sighted in a scope before ??.... It's real easy!... Just have a lot of ammo!

    I really like that gun!

    .

PS, When I seen the title of the thread... I thought there would be pictures of a Skid-Steer from Santa!

You musta been super nice this year for santa to come early AND drop a peice of machinery like that on you.
From what I hear about those rifles its not uncommon for them to be sub-MOA at 100yds if you use the ammo it likes. Happy hunting!

    Bill,
I haven't sighted in yet. But I did have it bore sighted and I shot on paper at 25 yards. This scope has Bullet Drop Compensator on it, so it is not your everyday hunting scope to zero. It has a locking knob and three allen screws on each turrent to play with to zero. I am not quite sure if I understand the procedure, but will know (hopefully) this Sat. if I can zero it myself or need help. Neat feature is the red or gree illuminated reticle. This should help at sunset when you can see the target.........but not your crosshairs...........before I get the night vision scope for hogs.
I also plan on buying a laser boresighter.
    hugs, Brandi

I hadn't seen those 20 round LR308 magazines!!! Very cool!

We can't buy MagPul magazines up here in the PRM. They are supposed to be some of the very best!

    RJ,
I have read testamonials of a lot further than it. I saw a Knights Armory SA25 on the military channel being used by a sniper team in annual competition.

When I buy a new scope... I always have it bored sighted.... The laser boresighters are not that much.... Problem is, They have so many to choose from.

Sounds like you have a great scope!... Is your property like Eddie Walkers.. A LOT of wild hogs running around! ??

I agree with Cousin Dougster!... ''Nice cannon''!

Well, compared to the Remington 7mm Magnum I used to shoot, it isn't a cannon.
