I have a question about a 520 Bobcat that I am getting back into shape.
The unit bucks quite a bit. I rebuilt the foot linkage for the lift arms and it is sweet now.
Did some repairs on the steering linkage and it appears that I made the bucking worse!
I am brand new to this and would appreciate some pointers. It will buck hard enough on a hard surface to lift the wheels.

Well, here are my thoughts...First-this really should be a new thread on this.

Not having much Bobcat experience, I will assume it's hydrostatically controlled like the newer ones in that the hand levers operate the wheel motors. My first thought would be to check the filters and return screens on the tranny. Or there could be a valve that keeps the unit from drifting while in neutral that is sticking and it's taking more pressure that usual to get the machine moving causing it to jerk when it does finally move.

Well now Kenny, you have some company in the hydraulics forum. See if you can guess who I am. When it comes to hose/fitting identification, or cylinder rebuilding, most people come to me.

Welcome to MU Andy, Glad to have you on-board

I'm see you are laying low with the new handle rather than using the WCH one

Yea, my new handle is really kind of my nickname. I have a hobby that I frequently surprise people in because of my lack of size, hence, mighty mouse.

Since he is being shy, I will introduce him...

Andy, AKA Mighty Mouse is the owner/operator of Wayne County Hose in the lovely state of PA. He is an expert in all things hydraulic! He also has a few other secrets up his sleeve...but I will let him tell when he is ready

Andy, I was reading in the Hydraulics forum yesterday over on TBN and thought it had to be you. Welcome aboard, and enjoy Machine Underground.
