Default Common Quick Attach couplers

I know there are about 10-15 different hydraulic quick couple styles/sizes, but isn't the most common on tractors the "flat face 1/2 x 3/4 " ? See this page.Hydraulic Quick Couplers

Here are pictures of the couplers in question..

..............

.... Are these Flat face 1/2 x 3/4 ?

I'm not sure how common various style couplers are but here is what I have on my CUT.

It's different than what you show. This style opens the fluid passage by pressing on the center pins. Sealing to the outside world is by O'ring radially on the OD of the male half.

Sure is different Mickey. I'm not really surprised, in my field there are plenty of couplers styles/sizes for the various sealed systems of the automobile. Why not tractors?

I'm getting myself prepared for grapple buying, need to make sure I order the proper couplers with the grapple.

The Flat-Face couplers are standard on skid-steers, not CUT's. The advantage of them is the high flow characteristics, and the ease of cleaning them before coupling.

The Pioneer style-either ball or poppet in the 3/8" or 1/2" size is the most popular on CUT's.

FEL, MMM, FEL Forks (homemade),I-Match, Ballast Box, #380 plow (modified to fit) Markham LD-48 Grapple, and lots of other STUFF.

Tim - Those are flat-face couplers... male and female... as Kenny described.

Yup, Those are the Flat-Faced Skid-Steer style QD's, look to be maybe 1/2 or so...

Look HERE and download the .pdf catalog page referenced at the top. The ones Mickey pictured are the poppet style I referenced.

FF QD's are very pricey. For your grapple you will not need the high-flow or the connect-under-pressure features of them. If it where me, I would just replace them with a standard style poppet QD that will be a lot cheaper in the long run.
