Default Just jumped aboard from Kentucky!

I heard about this forum earlier today from one of the members here who I know from some of the other forums. Had to check this site out immediately. Looked great! Joined as soon as I got a chance! That is, after I finished some seat time!

I live just barely north of Lexington, Kentucky. I have about 16 acres but wish it were 160! My tractor is a Kubota M7040. I don't have much as far as implements go right now but my wish list is gigantic! I have many big plans in store if I can ever afford to buy some new implements. Right now I have a 10-foot rotary cutter, FEL w/ toothbar, grapple, middle buster, and FEL forks. Not nearly enough! I also have a Kubota ZD28 zero turn mower to use around the house.

I look forward to learning a lot here and I only hope I can contribute some as well!

If it's bigger and more expensive then it has to be better!

-Chuck

Default Welcome to the Friendly and Informative Site

I like your avatar on that OTHER SITE...(Just for you DUC!!)...

This site's most interesting characteristic is that it TRULY covers the social and/or political gambit and for some reason...there have been no MAJOR Shoving matches...

I used to own an ant farm but had to give it up. I couldn't find tractors small enough to fit it.

Just following how basic dialog is suppose to take place - there is always two sides for every postion. Both need to be heard before drawing a conclusion or position. But thats just me

That's a Markham Welding grapple rake. It's their heavy duty model. It weighs about 800# and is 66" in width. If I had to do over I'd possibly go narrower and lighter. With a lighter weight grapple you can lift more. And a more narrow grapple is lighter! You don't need a wide grapple unless you're raking up construction debris or such. You can lift the same amount of brush with a narrow or a wide grapple. I actually really like the Borgford Bodozer clamshell type of grapple. But you're talking about $3,500!! I'll see if I can put up some more grapple pics later when I get home. I am currently at work and have no access to my pics or my tractor! I miss it! I sure hope it's okay without me there!

PS: I had links to the Markham welding grapple rake and the Borgford grapple but apparently I can't do that since I haven't posted 5 times yet! What's up with that?! Just go to Markhamwelding dot com and Borgford dot com.

If it's bigger and more expensive then it has to be better!

-Chuck
