Default Hello to All....

Hello,

My name is Bill and it's nice to see a tractor forum that has quite a bit of activity on it for this time of the year. I live in western Pa and my wife calls me a "certified tractor nut" because I've either operated and/or owned various sizes, makes, and models of tractors since I was 12 years old. The first 3 that I was taught to operate were a Farmall H, Farmall M, and a John Deere B that had a hand clutch. The ones I've owned were a Farmall 460, Ford 3000, Long 560, Ford 1310, and Ford 1210. The last two, 1310 and 1210, I purchased after farming was no longer profitable and we leased most of our property out but needed a small tractor for the 5 acres we kept for personal use.

Recently, I purchased a Cub Cadet/Yanmar Sc2400 and feel Cub Cadet hit the jackpot by teaming up with Yanmar. In reading some of the posts on here, I can see there's a lot interest in that model and the larger models, too. So, as I get to know it and use it, I'll pass on what I like or don't like about it or areas I feel could be improved.

Bill

Wink Anyone who owns/owned a Farmall 460 can't be all bad

Well it's about time you got here...

I'll just ignore the fact that you have a CUB CADET...

This will make you feel right at home... http://www.50states.com/midi/0pa.mid

So where in Western PA?
I spent three years in Beaver County while the wife was doing her residency...

Paul in VT

I used to own an ant farm but had to give it up. I couldn't find tractors small enough to fit it.

Thanks for the warm Welcome's. They are appreciated. As for pictures of my Sc2400 I should have some by the weekend. The only attachment I bought was the 60in belly mower, for now. I already had a 6ft rear blade and don't need a FEL being both of my neighbors each have one on there tractors so I figured why buy one. I will say, I am very impressed with the way Yanmar built this tractor. Having been around many different tractors all my life, I can see they took there time and thought things out as they designed this new tractor. But, as with anything new, I'm sure there's a few areas that could be done different. So, as time goes on, I'll pass on my thoughts about this or that.
Have a good one and talk to you all later....Bill
