I am obviously not a shill for my brand.

Anyone who would buy (or not buy) a Mahindra based on the 24/7 hotline simply hasn't done their homework. It is a non-issue. Like any other brand, your local dealer(s) is(are) the first line of support. Beyond that, the on-line community (including the on-line dealers) is terrific. If your issue needs to become a "Tomball" issue, Brenda is there for you.

Like I've said: I wish I had even 1/10th the support for my gosh-darned Yanmar ULDM.

Paul,
Let me reinforce what Doug is trying to explain. The 24/7 line is in no way perfect. I have first hand experience and Doug can attest to it. I was totally frustrated after getting done with it. I thought what I was asking was a simple question. For a dealer or a trained technician it would have been simple. These are not the type of people answering your questions. After that I thought was doomed, until I recieved a call from Brenda. We talked for quite a while about my question and a bunch of other things. My question was answered in the first five minutes of the conversation.

I believe you need to understand who you are talking to when asking questions. Brenda doesn't know everything but she has the people that within shouting distance.

Between Brenda and my local dealer and his mechanic I have a wealth of information at my finger tips. So far in my experience Mahindra and their support staff and my dealer have been great. I do not regret for a minute my choice of Mahindra.

That being said, Brenda welcome to the forum. I'm glad you finally found out where we were hiding.

I’m glad you’ve made it to MU too as I look forward to your posts…

I realize that this is off the beaten path in Tomball but do you have any information, pictures or scuttlebutt on the new Mahindra pick-up’s ??

Thanks and again welcome.

Mark
First of all; Mark, to answer your question about the Mahindra pickups you can go to their website; gv-usa.com and check out the trucks and suvs. If you need a phone number or anything else please contact me personally.

Next, thanks guys for the warm welcome!!! You are all correct Mahindra is not perfect but, is there a tractor company, or any company for that matter, that is? Mahindra is a wonderful company to work for and I truly love my job. The people I work for and with, are by far the best in the world!!! I really mean that from the bottom of my heart!!!
The 24/7 Owner Care line is answered 24 hours a day 7 days a week. It has been in place now for a year. It's a hot line for Mahindra owners to call when their local dealers are closed. They are not trained technicians nor mechanics like your local Mahindra dealers. They are only trained to answer basic questions and refer you to your dealer for anything more.
I know less than they do about tractors and besides I don't like to get my hands dirty. But, I am fortunate enough to have an office full of trained professionals that are more than willing to help. But, I always have to ask; "have you contacted your local dealer?" Referred to so lovingly as "THE TOMBALL TUNE".
So now you have it all in a nutshell!!! If you have any other questions or problems please feel free to contact me at any time.

Wow! Not an obvious or easy-to-find link there on the new Mahindra trucks and SUVs. Thanks very much for pointing it out!

The "Tomball Tune"??? Now that's one I've never heard. Only needed Tomball to get involved one time (on a second rear remote set kit I bought last year for my 4110) and it all worked out fine. They sent me the alternative part I needed for my particular TYM-made machine and it has been working perfectly ever since.
