Yup. There are days when I need all the help I can get. Then there are the days when you do something that I need no help at all picking on ya.

Yeah, well, too bad for you but I haven't done anything really stupid for the last 17 days.

It was 18 days ago that I visited Harbor Freight!!!

I am actually doing better, and I am pretty compliant with the medications and diet. The doctors will not give me permission to work (for a long, long time), but I am allowed tractor seat time and responsible limited physical activity. I really do need constant "adult supervision" when it comes to that . I am done with at this point now that I got the garden tilled and rock moving projects going. I am still making weather prognostications for a few people. I see from your postings that you are still working those crazy hours at the airline and doing quite a few projects on the home front. How are your parents? Jay

BTW: I took a pistol/revolver course at S&W Academy. I shoot a pretty nice pattern- almost as good as yours .
Jay,
I haven't worked since the 13th of May. Been taking care of Mom until I can get her in the nursing home where Dad is now. With all the time I took off in Feb. to work on the barn, I am now using vacation borrowed from 2009.
What did the S&W Academy cost and how long was it? More importantly, did you learn anything? Were you shooting an auto or a wheel gun?
Rock moving projects? Can't you just teach the rocks to follow you?
hugs, Brandi

Where there is the necessary technical skill to move mountains, there is no need for the faith that moves mountains.

Oh Lordy! Look who has returned! Good to see you back 'cause that must mean you are getting your family issues under control.

Forget about what the old Dougster bought at HF. That information is under seal. You know how I hate HF with a passion usually only reserved for lefty politicians, Godless lawyers and corrupt cops ... but occasionally, shopping there is a necessary evil. Then afterwards, I go straight to the church and confess my sins. It doesn't help, however. The tools are still crap and they break or refuse to work anyway.

Brandi:

It is great to see you here and posting again ! I hope your very complicated family situation is working out. Primary care givers like yourself are my heroes. I "had" to take a gun handling course in order to become relicensed to carry as I let my pistol permit expire a couple of years ago and I have a couple of weapons and a large capacity "weapon". The S&W course was pretty interesting and I did learn a lot as its main focus was on gun laws and personal self defense in your own home and in rare cases in the community. It was a day long and we did get to shoot .22 caliber semiautomatics and revolvers on the range. A couple of the pistols jammed during the range activities. It cost $100 and I will probably take at least another course there. Keep on going, keep your friends close, and keep on hugging.
Hugs- Jay
