I have an "old school" Snow / Dozer blade for a Gilson.
-It is a full 48" wide, shows very little use, though it's probably 20 years old.
-Has tripper springs and is lockable for dirt dozing.
-Adjustable skid shoes.
-Mount 1: is a front bumper mount with pivots that allows manual UP&Down, you would need a simple lever.
This mount could be easily rigged for hydraulic UP & Down with some fabrication.
-Mount 2: Also have an additonal mount, it's the type that fastens to the flanges on the tractors rear end, and runs up underneath and out the front.
This type of mount could be made to lift using the mower deck lift points.
-The blade fits both mounts, and both mounts included.
The blade itself has no dents or bends, moldboard and cutting edge are straight. Bottom of cutting edge makes me think it got used a few times, then stored permenently.
-Cutting edge is bolted on, so could be repalced if ever worn out or would be easy to add a rubber squeegie strip.
-Moldboard has factory welded stiffiners on back.
-Both mounts allow manual angling using a 5/8" Pin.
Would probably work best on a Garden tractor, probably can be fitted to a 4wd ATV. Or, even use it as a small utility/snow blade for a SubCut.
I snagged this blade as a possible Snow Plow blade for my BX, but then ended up a week later, with a hydraulic Deer blade that I used for my BX project.
Interested parties, let me know, I'm going to let it go cheap, as I picked it up cheap. Just trying to find it a good home.
$75.00
I'll post pics when I am able. Will also be glad to Email photos, once I take them.
This balde just wants to plow a little bit of snow.
Can't someone help this poor blade?
