Default H3 valve on bank mower

A friend of mine gave me a used H3 valve to use on a trail/bank mower project.

Would anyone know where I could find the technical specifications for H3 valves used on 400 & 455 series tractors? Specifically, I'm looking for pressure & flow rate data on the valves. Not the operating pressure and flow rate of the tractor, but of the actual valve.

These valves have the size, shape and look of Cessna Eaton valves that have significantly higher flow rate and pressure limits than the 400/455 tractor can produce. Would like to know what they can take before I blow the seals out.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,

Welcome to MU

Finding the specs for OEM valves is going to be next to impossible. Manufactures are tight-lipped when it comes to specific info like this, and if you find the original maker of the valve-they often will not disclose any info or sell any parts, they will just refer you to the OEM. I know Hucso is like this with the valves they make for Kubota.

We can however take an educated guess at the flow rate(GPM) if you tell us what size the IN/OUT ports are. As for the pressure, the only "safe" number to go by is the pressure rating of the original application, which is probably far less then the 3000psi rated valves that you can buy. I do not know what you are going to power the valve with-but mu 4110 has a relief valve setting of 2450psi...

You can get a 2-spool joystick valve for $200 from the SurplusCenter, How much is this "free" valve worth to you?

John Deere 4110HST
FEL, MMM, FEL Forks (homemade),I-Match, Ballast Box, #380 plow (modified to fit) Markham LD-48 Grapple, and lots of other STUFF.
