I have the similiar combo in Green/Yellow. With a splash of Orange L245DT. I started with a JD425 in 95 , then acquired the JD455 in 98.
Only tempermental things were the seat safety switch, and the darn battery usually going dead with a cell dropout.

The 455 is a terrific unit! The first battery in my 425 lasted from '93' until '05'. Twelve years on 1 battery using a smart charger, and proper maintenance!

Smart charger sounds like it paid for it's self. Great little tractor you have.
