That's because you don't have enough tractors...

I used to own an ant farm but had to give it up. I couldn't find tractors small enough to fit it.

And having the ROP up would make it safer...

Chris, I've been following your Kubota TLB talk on the Kubota pages. What is the technical difference between a tractor with a Loader and a Back hoe and a dedicated TLB with similar hp?

Joe , a tractor with a loader and a backhoe. is really just a farm tractor
with a loader and backhoe installed as an attachment. like my 2520. a True TBL , the loader is made into the main frame. and the backhoe. is about 10 times stronger , as well as the whole machine. a real TBL is a commercial machine. and is built much stronger than a regular tractor. as for example.
a L39 , L48 or M59 or even a JD 110 and specialy a 310. is way stronger and built better than say a kubota L34 or a jd 3320. those are strong farm machines. but no match for a TBL , just look at specs. TBLs weigh in most cases 2 or 3 times as much. a TBL is just a lot more heavy duty.
and cost 3 times as much....

Chris....
TLB's hydraulics pumps have a greater GPM rate, in general, than a tractor with add ons...

Also, TLB's FELs tend to be slightly more permanent than a tractor with add ons...

paul is right , the hydralic pumps are much stronger. and on a true
TBL there are usualy 3 pumps
and permanent loaders are much stonger as part of the main frame.

So the main reasons for getting a TLB instead of a tractor with addons is loading and digging capacity (as in bigger buckets etc) and longevity. Is it much more difficult to detach the loader and hoe also?

How does the ROPS work? do you need tools to lower it from the upright position if you need to get in to a low-door-garage for example?
