What about the imatch? Is that for attachement to the 3pt hitch or must one also have something that is attached to the implement?

Telescoping draft arms, please explain? Is that useless with the imatch?

You asked a lot of questions at on time...

1. I do not have a TnT setup, but I do plane on getting the toplink part.
2. It is very useful if you do a lot of dirt work, like grading a yard or crowning a driveway. The adjustment of the blade angle and tilt are all done from the seat on the fly, versus getting out off the seat to make them.
3. By the time you add the valves to control it, then the cylinders and hoses...you are easily at $1000 to get it set up initially.
4. It can be left on for almost ALL implements except a post hole digger because you remove the toplink to attach one.
5. The I-Match is a great accessory that makes hooking up implements a lot easier. There are several versions ranging in price from $70 on sale at Horrible Freight to about $240 for the JD one.
6. The I-Match attaches to the 3PH, and one the implements you need to add bushings to the pins to take them up to CAT3 size. I bushing kit from JD or TSC (Speedco brand) is about $30.
7. The telescoping draft arms are a wast of money if all of your implements will attach to the I-Match. The arms are used so you do not have to perfectly align the tractor to the implement and wrestle it to get the pins to line up with the holes. This is not so bad with the CUT sized stuff we all use, but can be a real treat with a 15' batwing mower that weighs 2000lbs!

Doug covered this pretty well, But to elaborate a little-You can tow cart and trailers right from the rear of the tractor, either there is a plate with a hole in it or there is an adjustable "draw bar" that has holes in it (I don't know which tractor you have)

Oh man. Thanks for some great answers.

Can you take some follow up questions?

If so, here goes...

How much are the telescoping draft arms? roughly.
Is it worth getting the imatch from JD?
The cylinder and hoses part of the TnT, would they be an added cost even if I got the Power Beyond kit for a BH?

I havent decided between the 2720 or 3x20 (with a cab in that case).

1. What machine do you have? Some model do not have them available...
2. I think so...but some will argue that the cheepy thing from Horrible Freight is just as good. I like to buy good things once. You will never regret buying a quality tool.
3. Yes. still looking at big bucks!

The telescoping draft arms are NOT available for the 2x20 series, but they are for the 3x30's. They will also have the draw bar I mentioned. I think only the 2305, and "possibly" the 2320 have the simple plate with the hole in it.

Not sure on this one, but I know there is not a factory TnT option for the 2x20 series, so try building a 3x20 machine and see if it's in there.

I think it might require the Electric Diverter kit that cost's $1000+ alone Then add the cylinder kit and you will probably be close to 2k.

One other thought I just had...

Since you are starting from "scratch", get the I=Match and make sure all the implements you buy now or in the future are "I-Match Compatible". You will NEVER regret that decision!

There is nothing like hooking up to a 800lb ballast box without leave the seat!

On a 3000 series, the diverter and tnt kit run close to $2K. You can see these options when you 'build-it', and as accessories.

JD 2520 w/46bh, 200cx loader, meyers 6ft plow
jd 425 w/54"mmm& 54"plow
