Points: 0 | Top and tilt and imatch etc I wonder if any of you guys have the Top and Tilt attachement? Is it useful and for what implements do you use it? How much is it? Can it be left on for all implements?
What about the imatch? Is that for attachement to the 3pt hitch or must one also have something that is attached to the implement?
Telescoping draft arms, please explain? Is that useless with the imatch?

Points: 0 | Also, is a 3pt tractor reciever hitch needed to be able to tow carts etc? And what is a drawbar used for?

Money is a bit tight right now, but eventually I will be buying a hydraulic top link (w/check valve) and be changing over to telescoping lift arms. This is the absolute optimum setup for me and the kind of work I do. Anything more complicated and my frequent switchovers from backhoe to 3-point and back become too cumbersome and ultimately self-defeating in terms of saving time. The day may come when I have a need to tilt my 3-point implements in real time, but so far that day hasn't come. YMMV.
Old style drawbars are typically used for towing things that are not 3-point friendly. Personally, I would want to use a 3-point trailer tow hitch/receiver for towing anything substantial.

Points: 0 | But is a 3pt tow hitch/reciever needed for towing with these small tractors? Isn't there a dedicated "towing hitch"?

It can be used to tow a trailer equipped with a regular ball-type trailer coupler by adding the following parts:
Stabilizer (shown above) and stabilizer on drawbar with ball (shown below)
Or they make a combo stabilizer/receiver unit:
Here is a slightly different one:
But what I like is the following:
An integrated "one-piece" 3-point trailer tow hitch/receiver.

Points: 0 | So the Compacts don't have a set up with a "claw" that locks into a ring, all maneuvered with the hydraulics? Do you know at what size tractor that is available?

I see no pressing need for both... although there is probably no harm either. My personal preference is for the telescoping link arms... but that is mainly because of my backhoe issue. Quote:

I don't see it as a tractor size issue. It's more of an "unnecessary complexity" issue to moi.
