WTF did possess JD into asking him to do this? They may as well of asked that other idiot, Boyd Coddington to join him.

If they wanted a puller, why not just build one...

Thanks,

Will

OK, I'm going to go against the grain and say that I like it. Deere asked Foose to hotrod a classic, and he's doing so. Chip has a clean style to his rides that I like.

As for that dumb ass Boyd Coddington, he croaked sometime in late 2008 or 2009. No loss as far as I'm concerned. I used to watch American Hotrod and lost all respect for the man after seeing how poorly he treated his 'shop slaves' and his utter inability to schedule projects properly. After a while I watched it with only one hope in mind...that a 'shop slave' would punch Boyd and Duane's lights out. A couple came close to going over the edge and doing it.

I can't stand Jesse James and 'Monster Garage.' I hate those one-week build shows where everything cranked out is hack work. I only watched two episodes completely. One was turning a Rolls Royce 'Silver Shadow' from the 70's into a 'honey wagon' and the other was making a Peterbilt bike that became a trike due to the drivetrain's weight. The only Peterbilt part used was the headlight. Cummins made the engine and the rest of the drivetrain was made by Eaton.

Measure it with a micrometer, mark it with chalk, cut it with a torch, beat to fit, paint to match, inspect it with a microscope.

My albums of stuff I've made.

It doesn't really matter , because the bozo that wins this, probably will live on a 1/4 acre suburban lot...

I have to agree with Mincad, Has nothing to do with Chip Foose other than Deere sought him out and asked to modify a tractor. Deere just got ahold fo the most popular auto designer for the immediate times,, If you watch overhaulin, and rides,, you can't get away from not seeing something Foose is attached to in some way... Again, blame Deere,, THe way I see it and the way Deere is closing all it's mom and pop local stores,, it won,t be another two years and they too, will be in real trouble, from their own doing.,... Also.,., Coddington was a super slave driver and ignorant in keeping employees,

I do prefer Chip over Boyd. In every OH episode, he asked what the owner liked, and then let his imagination run wild. If it looks like a Puller, great, and if it looks like the riding lawn mowers that they sell at the box stores, then it will be funny.

As for Boyd, he only knew one thing, chop, slam, shave. And was a total slave driver.

Thanks,

Will

I equate pullers to dragsters. Foose's design is more analogous to a street rod. Big difference.

As for 'Bondo Boyd' and his 'Bondo Buckets'...good riddance!

Measure it with a micrometer, mark it with chalk, cut it with a torch, beat to fit, paint to match, inspect it with a microscope.
