Actually the 2320 is a tough little bugger. It surprises me everyday and twice on Sunday! And I dig Hard pan, lots of BIG rocks and my all time favorite packed clay.

Rob,

My post definately wasn't intended as a bash of the 2320. There is some history with me and Duc here. He originally picked up a 2320 from the dealership I frequent (haunt) here in CT. Almost immediately he decided the hydraulic flow rate wasn't enough for the speed needed by his commercial work and swapped it for a 2520. My "gasping for air" comment wasn't so much that the 2320 couldn't do the job, but that the
time to do it would have been more. I almost traded my 2210 on a 2320 but decided for the majority of my tasks (mowing) the 2210 was a better choice. I do really like the larger tires, the tranny oil-cooler vs. fan, the better location of tranny filter, the slightly wider stance, and the position control on the 3PH of the 2320.

Cheers

JDfanatic - your starting to sweat a little arent you, now that some 2320 owners will be around. I know I'm watching my tonque as well on this subject

Duc,

It just goes to show there is a reason Deere (and other manufacturer's) offer all these models . . . would you rather have them thinking of one size fits all?

Cheers

It was a pretty big full grown maple - 75 to 100 ft tall...the stump as you see it was about 3500 lbs. Too bad i didnt take picture of having the Dump truck in the ramp that I dug, and pushed the stump onto the Dump bed. I had it weighed when I went to the station/dump site - always do because its free and helps me quess the weight of things

I never took a tree trunk diameter measurement but its over 24"

9630T Tractor (530 hp)

Lawn mowing tractor...

Paul in VT

I used to own an ant farm but had to give it up. I couldn't find tractors small enough to fit it.

Low impact worries on finish lawns because of the tracks - and 530 HP instead of just 20HP - its does a great job in mulching too

The tree had to come down because of disease, as well as the stump.
The goal was not to use an axe or shovel, and thankfully that goal was met.
The stump turned out to be larger than expected, with a total weight just under 4,000 lbs (weigh station verified). I had to dig a ramp under the stump to move it about, and had the Truck drag it out. I then backed the truck into the ramp, and pushed the stump on the bed.

Anyway enjoy the pictures and feel free to comment or share ones own feat with machinery

BTW Im glad you found us ! yeah If I knew how big it was I would have ground it down below the surface, removed the chips and put down topsoil. So much quicker and faster that way
