Default Tire and Wheel price check

My local Kubota dealer quoted my $1000.00 for a set of R4 Industrial tires and wheels for BX2350. This sounds extremly high to me. Has anyone else made such a purchase? If so, How much did you pay? TIA

Steve

Hi Steve -

Welcome to the M.U first of all! thanks for joining us!

what did your machine come with first? turfs? Im assuming its really new as well based on that model (I think release this year a few months ago).

If its both tires and rims - it might be a fair price - it never cheap going with 4 new tires and rims

What are the sizes?

In general...Steel has gone UP, Tires have gone UP as well as delivery costs to bring them to you...

Thanks for the welcome! I been reading this forum for a while, just hadn't posted much.

I took delivery of this tractor in Feb of this year and it came equiped with turf tires. The size of the turfs is 26*12.00-12 and the fronts are 18*8.50-10. I would like to a some ground engaging work like plowing a small garden and the turfs have a tendacy to spin more than I want. It just struck me as very expensive price considering the their size.

Thanks,
Steve

Assuming I get the correct size, Can I put Industrial tire on my existing turf rims?

Thanks,
Steve

I see no reason why it cant be done. The ratio on 4wd machines need to be followed, but the stock tire sizes take that into account. So if you are able to match tire sizes between Turf and R4 you are good to go.

Find out what the stock size tires are for R4 and Turf tires (you have already) and see if their is a rim difference (width). Turfs tend to be wider and taller than R4's

Price sounds about right. if you figure 100.00 per tire and again per rim.
I looked around abit, could not find a traction tire in 26*12.00-12 only turf tires.
So you will probably need rims and tires.
Besides it will be like the winter tires for your car. All mounted up, just put the set on for the jobs you plan.
