Default I'm back

Not L3400, Not L4400, Not L39.
I found a Dec 2004 L48 with 280 hrs, non comercial owner at a PA dealer. Also ordered: Woods 72" box blade, loader tooth bar, quick attach pallet forks, JL351P Farmi winch, Wallenstein BXR60 chipper (hydraulic feed), Hud-Son Oscar 18 sawmill, extra loader hydraulics for a grapple (for when I recover from this purchase) and Heavy duty rear tire chains. They agreeded to service the hydraulics seeing it would be coming due so I wouldn't have to do anything for 300 hrs. They could have everything ready late this week but don't expect delevery until after they get done helping the Easter bunny. I think the summer schedule is filled up.

Congrats Bill41 ! this is definitely something we need to see and hear more about after seeing the M59 up close and unfortuantely ruling it out because of CDL requirements, I certainly would like to know if the L48 falls into the CDL barrier, that the now replacement model M59 does -

Dont forget when you get it

Bill 41,

Congratulations! That L48 is a great pick for your site. The most power your budget can afford the better. When I bought our L4630 I 'went up a size' and never regretted it. To me, 40 HP is about the minimum for heavy clearing, digging and brush hogging. Wished I could've afforded the L48.

Looking forward to the pictures.

- 2003 Kubota L4630 compact utility tractor w/ loader & backhoe, bought new.
- Category 1 Implements include a Befco tiller, 6 ft Bush Hog cutter, antique Massey Ferguson 3 bottom plow and a post hole digger
- 1986 Kubota G6200H garden tractor, bought in 2005 to maintain lawns and harvest grass clippings for mulch.
- 2004 Ariens 1128 PRO walk-behind snow blower.

It's here. They delivered it on 3-27 and it took about 4 hrs to get it good and dirty. I have dug out about 20 stumps, the largest a 20" basewood that left a 4' deep hole.
The frost is coming out so it was real easy to get down to the axles. But it just kept on going. Only had to use the backhoe once to pick the back end up and set it over on to some dryer spot. Things get a little tippy when doing that and pushes the pucker factor up to the point where you don't want to do it to often if at all. I tried to get some pictures to load but it didn't want to upload for some reason. Will try later

Just incase you did not know.
The easiest way to get stumps out, is to push the whole tree down.

That's a fine looking machine Bill! Nuthin' says serious business (and really means it!) quite as well as an L48.
