    Default My disappearance...

    Hey all!

I know that I just randomly disappeared, and have not been seen since. I just wanted to explain it.

I have finally made my purchase! I am now the proud owner of a Kubota L3800 HST (4 wheel drive) with QA FEL, Woods BB60X rotary cutter,Woods TC (or TS? I don't even remember right now lol) rotary tiller, and a Howse box blade. I also purchased with it a D&E trailer 18 ft + 2 ft dovetail = 20 ft equipment trailer with dual electric brake axles (both axles have brakes, not just one). The best news of all is that my truck (that I was worried about as all of these items total to almost 8,000 lbs) was an absolute tow champ! I was able to hold 75 mph on the highway towing this load! (granted I was only getting 11 mpg).

I have been using it almost every day on my new property, towing it to and from my house. I have been so busy with it that I have not had time to upload the few pictures I snapped. The funny thing is that my truck has to wide of a turning radius I can not park the trailer in my back yard or up my driveway. (I live on a corner lot with a side entrance to the back) So i have to unload the tractor, unhook the 3pt and use the draw bar to tow the trailer that the tractor loads on to get a tight enough turn to park the trailer :

On a side note I am extremely glad I went with 4wd. even win 4 wheel drive I have gotten stuck more than once on my new property and had to use the rear differential lock. Also I am very impressed with the Woods BB60x rotary cutter. I was disappointed that all the dealers told me not to get the BB600x, as it is twice the machine, but this 60x seems to do the job just fine! I have been taking down tree's 1 - 2 inches in diameter with no hesitation with it.

Anyway I'm on my way out to work in a little bit, but just wanted to stop and post. In a couple of weeks when work / side work projects die down a little I should be back more, and will def. have some pictures. In the mean time when I'm on my tractor I'm like and when I am at work thinking about it I am like . It weirds some people out, but ya know, its just me.

Take care all, and I'll try to pop on once or twice a week in the mean time.

    ~PMG

    Hey PMG,

You were missed......... but figured you got busy ( maybe with work ).

    Congrats on the purchases.

Very good choices and no question you are better off having 4wd.

Bit of a pain with lot placement with tractor\trailor setup but far better to be with the tractor than without. No pain, no gain.

Congrats again and make sure you get some pics up here soon.

Take care of yourself and be careful on your new beast.

    Later
    Tom

all to often the absence is usually not a good thing, but you proved that wrong!
