I got away with it for about 8 fills and then it slipped and pushed the filler screen into the tank. Has anyone else done this stupid trick yet or willing to fess-up. It probably won't hurt anything other than block the tank sensor at some point when I least expect it and run out of fuel with the gage on half. I haven't tried to fish it out yet but was thinking of using a spring loaded grabber and flashlight. Any other ideas out there?
I feel your pain Bill. I actually remove the plastic filler strainer on my Mahindra and rely on the strainer in the bottom of the extra large funnel I use when filling.

I see little harm or danger in trying to fish it out... especially if the tank is as shallow and the filler neck is as wide as mine. I would certainly let the fuel run down as low as possible first... and then drain the remainder back into that fuel jug... mainly just so you can see it.

On the other hand, there is probably no harm whatsoever in leaving it in there.

In your case, every tool that can help reduce or eliminate minutes of non-billable time AND potential of HAZMAT spills need to be considered...

I went to this because I got tired of humping 5 gallon jugs of diesel...PURE LAZINESS on my part...

That 28 gal tote on wheels looks like it would work for some. I checked the weight and noticed one weights 48# and the other 70#. Now add 28 gals of fuel at 6#/gal and your over 200#. Fuel stations don't like you to fill containers in the vehicle but I don't see someone filling this on the ground and lifting it into your truck. And then when you get home you have to onload it. I guess you can offload it into the FEL. Maybe your lucky and Arnold S., lives next door. I think I will stick to my ol yellow 5 gal can. The L48 has a nice operator's platform and 4 rops posts to hang on to. I don't seem to have a problem with getting the can in place. Does anyone actually have one of these?

You do not have to take it out of your pickup bed to fill it...IT IS DIESEL...

As for unloading it, you can roll it down ATV ramps...

Heck, I've rolled my 33" Walk-behind snowblower out of the bed...NBD...

What are the rules on copying data from Kubota manuals. I could scan in the specs on the L48 tractor , BH and FEL if that doesn't go against some copywrite law.
