Default New B Series ...How do you like them?

I didn't know if I should of started a new thread, or use the new B series in the sticky. So, if it should me moved...........sorry!

Well I haven't heard how any of the new owners like/dislike them.

I am thinking about getting a BX24 TLB or the B2620/b2920 (with same attachments) Also a MMM. I am on 3 wooded acres with some good slopes. Have no idea what degree they are. I prefer the B2920 of the the BX. If I`m right, I can get a bigger tractor with 2 hydo pumps, that is close to weight and turn radius of the BX. Only thing that scares me, the B2920 looks like it can be real tippy. Looks can be deceiving.

Thanks for any input.

If it was me I would go with the larger of the choices. You are choosing between a sub-cut and a compact tractor. Lots to be gained from that IMHO. I have heard nothing but good things on the new machines BTW

Ducati996-

I really wanted the JD 2520. I have heard you an the other talk great things about that machine. I drove it, and was ready to buy i......................but not for $29,000.

Back to the new B's. Don't you think those tractors will be "tippy"? Seems like the width is really narrow. Or am I getting nervous about making a purchase?

Not sure what you were including on the 2520, but fully loaded should be way under what you mentioned -

The 2520 is priced close enough to the B2630/B3030 series - if not then keep looking. The 2920 and under are less than the B series. If you widen the tires (stem on the insides) and fill the tires with Rim Guard, it will go a long way to reduce tippiness -

Hope this helps -

We have already sold a bunch of the New B series and the reports back have been all good.
We also recommend Rim Guard in Rear tires with any Tractor equipped with a Front End Loader.

How good does it cut grass with a MMM?. I heard that the bigger tractors don't do as well. I have no idea? Seems like the deck wasn't set up right??

The mower deck on the new Bs is a suspended deck similar to the BXs, which most feel will generally give a better overall cut.

To me, the key to which size to go with is the 'wooded acres'. I'd go with one of the new Bs with the higher ground clearance, and get the rear tires loaded to help with stability. You will most likely appreciate the larger all around capacities of the new B, over the BX.

It's a nice little machine, and definitely a good small size first machine. So is the BX, but the standard B TLB should treat you a little better on your property.

KUBOTA B3030 with R4s, fender mount FEL joystick, 40 amp alternator, block heater, loaded rears, LA403 w/60" bucket, BH75 w/12" bucket, pin-type QA, pallet forks, & Landpride RB2572, Bro-Tek thumb.
Old attachments: Midwest LR2072 rake w/gauge wheels, Rhino SE4 rotary cutter, 3pt trailer receiver.

Just had my new B2920 delivered last monday........I too almost bought the JD2520, trading up from the JD2210.......even set up a date to go in and sign the papers......but thought i would just stop in the Kubota dealer down the street. Test drove the B2620 and B2920 and i was sold...bought the B2920 right then with FEL and MMM and ballast box.....have used both, the MMM cut quality is excellent and just love the machine overall.....or at least the 9 hrs i have on it now.......
