Default Bought a new Stihl gas hedge trimmer

Well today i bought me a new STIHL gas hedge trimmer.
and loveing it.... you wont believe this, but its my first.
always used a electric. and that cord crap was getting old.
i did a lot of searching on the net. Stihl and Echo got high marks.
Stihl was ranked best by consumer report. so i narroed it down from there.
ended up with the new HS 45. was going to get a 81T but i did not like the articulating handle. thay have the same motor. and i got a 24 inch bar. boy this is no Home depot jobby , got it at the stihl dealer. its made very well. it will cut about anything. i hope it lasts , these things ant cheep.
Here is a few pics and of course my first bush i did with it.
this bush was out of control. it took all of about 8 min to bring her down
to size. took longer to rake clippings than to cut it. boy everyone need one of these... i figured it i got a comercial one for around the house , it should last a while.

Chris....

Thats good to hear Kenny....
i was not sure witch direction to go in. since i never
had one. I do have a Stihl chain saw. but all my other stuff
is different. for example. my string trimmer is made by weedeater
and has been trouble free. my blower is a 10yo homelite. and its been great. my pushmower is a comercial grade Honda. and
Guess who makes my Garden Tractor .color of this guy--->
and then there is Johnny D. he is Green . my edger is a maclain.
and my presure washer is a Troybuilt.
so i have quit an aray of different power tools.
and thay all been good tools. then again. i try to maintain
my tools.

Paul , i have had enough of electrical yard tools. I mean i am
all for the envornment and all. but after dragging several hundred feet
of drop cord around 2 acers for over 30 years.
I think i have paid my dues.... I mean i have electrical outlets on the outside of my garage. in front of my house.
on the back of my house. i even got a couple mounted to my fence in the back yard. I surely have to be careful where i dig in my yard. I am wired for bear....... I just had enough. i want to crank it and go to work.
before it took a hafe hour to prepair before i cut the first bush. it suxed.

Its a great brand you will love it - Im surprised that you havent gone gas before. Too many close calls of me cutting the electrical cords, blowing circuits and getting the shock of my life said enough of electric hedgers.
