Hey Duc, how does your Wight Stander do on slopes/hills? My yard isn't anything too radical, but does have some pretty good inclines and a long area along a culvert. These machines definitely have me intrigued!?! I'm wondering if a 36" Stander would suit my under 1.5acres given the speed at which you can cut? What's sweet about them is they don't take up much space. There's an outfit near my that also sells a similar machine under the Everride brand: eBay Store - Wegman Motor Works Inc: Duc I almost wish I didn't see the pics of your Write Stander! Thanks man !@#$

Out of all the "stand on" ZTRs they work the best on hills, and have the best weight distribution over the wheels to help with that. If you are serious about one of these, I would only look at the Wright Standers.
Lots of complaints about Dane and such, very little if any on the Wright's.
You can cut you grass at full speed, and the cut is excellent. It will cut down on your mowing significantly, over a ride on mower. They take up less room then most walk behinds, which is a nice thing when space is limited. They are pretty good on fuel, and low on maintaince - the front swivel spindles are the only thing that gets greased. The deck spindles are a sealed bushing (i think thats the term they use) that requires no grease -(big plus)
Good luck and I hope you do wind up with a Wright stander, because you will like them.

Found some good video on some Wright standers on hills - pretty cool

Thanks! they are unique and real popular around here in Long Island NY.
They are the best "stand on" ZTR from what I keep hearing and with my own observations..the quality is solid and well made too

Just ran across this thread. Have to say, I've never seen anything like this out here on the left coast. Interesting.

1970 Bolens 1257 w/tiller
2005 Cub 3204 48" deck
Yanmar Fx24D
5' Howse rotary mower
RSB 1300 Yanmar tiller

They sure are becoming more popular. Nearly all the commercial lawn cutters in my area use them. From what I can see, the only current contenders in this style machine are:

1) Wright Stander: Wright : Stander

2) Great Dane Super Surfer: Great Dane - Commercial Lawn Mowers for Landscape Professionals

3) John Deere Quik-Trak: Zero-Turning-Radius Riding Mowers from John*Deere

4) Everride Scorpion: EverRide Commercial Lawn Mowers

Wright and Everride seem to be the most compact machine. They all run ~$4-7K. Seems like a lot for a motorized deck on wheels, but I suppose anything that saves time and makes you money is going to be pricey. I believe Everride is the least expensive. I'd guess that JD would be the most?

Default Here is an interesting alternative...

DR® Power Equipment - DR® VERSA-PRO™ Z-MOWER

I used to own an ant farm but had to give it up. I couldn't find tractors small enough to fit it.
