3) John Deere Quik-Trak: Zero-Turning-Radius Riding Mowers from John*Deere

4) Everride Scorpion: EverRide Commercial Lawn Mowers

Wright and Everride seem to be the most compact machine. They all run ~$4-7K. Seems like a lot for a motorized deck on wheels, but I suppose anything that saves time and makes you money is going to be pricey. I believe Everride is the least expensive. I'd guess that JD would be the most?

Deere and Great Dane had shared product offerings up until recently. Right now its the Wright Stander that has the hill climbing ability and the patent, so everybody else is a little different. Of course my 2nd choice would be Deere (for service), and they were less expensive than Wright Stander. We are just talking about the "stand on ZTRs" there is a whole different group outside the Stand on arena -
It comes down to asking the Landscapers on what they would choose, and making the best decision from there at that point. Thats what I did after a while

That's surprising. I would have thought the Deere would be crazy expensive. I like the look of the 647A:

They do offer a great 7 iron deck with true mulching ability and a quick mulch to side discharge quick lever feature, which you can basically do on the fly. I have been told by a good number of folks, that the wheel position is just a little farther back past the axle - making it a little less of a hill climber.

In all honesty its probably an excellent machine, and with a little weight distribution from the rider, I'm sure can compensate for the hills.
For me it was a pick one or the other, and I went with the brand that sits in all of the pro's trucks around here. Maybe its just Deere not reaching out enough on what they offer in this area (product).

For sure that's all I've noticed on the pro's trailers are Wright Standers. The fixed deck Wrights don't appear to have many parts on them, so there's little to break. The other brand "standers" look more complex. The best thing about JD is the plentiful dealer network. Not nearly as many dealers for the others.

Well having a good service dealer is critical. I would look at the Deere much closer, might be perfect (dealer & Service being local), and the price being right -with financing from Deere being anything you want.

I hope it works out for you either way, it would be cool to see the Deere stand-ons being represented

Thanks Duc. It's just kind of a dream for me at the moment. Lots of other areas for the cash flow to go as always.. I may give my CC 2544 to the FIL if he needs it, or maybe sell it for some type of stander. I only use it for mowing, so why own a GT. Heck, if CC came out with a stander, that would be perfect! A stander style machine just seems like the way to go for any type of mowing and for ease of storage.

Borrowed a pic from another fine site in regards to another up and coming stander from Toro. Look at size of this thing! IMO, Toro needs to re-think this design. Look how high up the operator is!

I see a few things "potentially" wrong - but its patent infringement instead of bad engineering I'm sure. The battery should be over the rear axles, along with the rider, just to name a few things.

That pre-production Toro looks like one heck of a built beast. That's a really strong looking frame. The V-twin doesn't look familiar to me. Is that a Kawi? I like the 'industrial' fan shroud and HUGE exhaust. The major issue I see is; What's the value in having this machine a stander/stand-up? It looks bigger than a ZTR with a seat! IMO, being compact is what a stander is all about. That baby is far from compact.
