Schaben is owned by FIMCO.

Measure it with a micrometer, mark it with chalk, cut it with a torch, beat to fit, paint to match, inspect it with a microscope.

Don't have one but have been giving thoughts of purchasing one. IMO I think the thing to pay most attention to is the pump. What make, model and what kind of warranty the pump has.

Was down to the local farm store this AM and saw the brand they offered. Noticed plainly displayed on the box was info about a 1 yr warranty on the pump and they were the only brand that offered a fan cooled pump.

As for the remaining components, not sure how much difference in qlty you'll find between poly tanks and other plastic components from brand to brand.

If a trailer/pulled design, I'd pay some attention to axle/wheel components as one should try and stay clear of materials that can be attacked by caustic solutions.

Food for thought: No matter how bad you think things are in your life, Remember, somewhere out there, there is a Mr. Pelosi

Practice makes perfect: After many decade of hard work and practice, it now takes almost no effort to get tired.

I have a Filmco sprayer not the same model you are looking at. This sprayer is well built with good quality parts. In 4 yrs of hard use it has sprayed several hundred acres of vegs, pasture, and hay fields without a single repair. There are better sprayers, ones with more features, but for me a Filmco was/is the best buy for the money. You will have more problems with the pump than the sprayer. Remember clean, clean and clean again with a sprayer after each use.

Thanks Bill. I call it my BORG sprayer as I keep adding on to it. A stock unit looks like this. FIMCO 55 Gallon 3 Point Sprayers

FIMCO makes a good product for the money; but I get frustrated easily, so I started improving(?) on it when I ran into a limitation. I've got more stuff fabricated for it, that I need to take to the powder coater. If I had to do it over again, I'd have designed and built my own; but I was ignorant of sprayers and how they worked when I bought mine, which is why I didn't make my own.

I will say that FIMCO has very good customer service, and anytime you call their 1-800 number you get a real person instead of an automated menu system.

Can we expand on this education?
What are we spraying?
List all applications (liquid fertilizer etc.).

In my case, non-selective herbicide.

Measure it with a micrometer, mark it with chalk, cut it with a torch, beat to fit, paint to match, inspect it with a microscope.
